Penang Curry Mee


For Penang Curry Mee lover, there is a Hawker Stall which serves good delicious Penang Curry Mee. It is located in Kafe CHEW CITY ( Coffee Shop). You can find the stall when you turn left into the road to Pearl Hill. The road is in-front across the road of Copthorne Orchid Hotel.


The Stall starts business only at 11 am and also serves Penang Assam Laksa.


Yummy Delicious Penang Curry Mee with lots of ingredients.

As it is popular with the locals, you might have to take your turn and wait for your bowl of Penang Curry Mee. The price is only MR2.50 and it is definitely worth waiting... cheap and good.

Penang Fried Char Koay Teow


The Famous Penang Fried Koay Teow Stall is located in Kafe Kheng Pin ( Kheng Pin Coffee Shop) at the junction of Jalan Penang and Jalan Sri Bahari.

Other hawker food in the Coffee Shop worth ordering are loh bak & prawn fritters and chicken rice.

You might have to wait as there are always a long Queue during the lunch hours but it is worth your while waiting for your plate of Penang Fried Koay Teow.



Look delicious and it is really good compared with others in the Island.

It is highly recommended if you happen to be in Penang and looking for a plate of Fried Koay Teow for lunch.

Hainanese Delight (food) in Penang, Malaysia


Shing Kheang Aun Restaurant located at 2 Chulia Lane, 10200 Penang, Malaysia is one of oldest famous Hainanese Restaurant in Penang. It serves good old-style Hainanese delight and attract big crowds during lunch and dinner.


Mr Ong Chin Hong, the son of the owner, is famous for his customer service, always smiling and friendly with nice words for everyone. He knows all his regular customers by name.

Penang White Curry Mee at hawker price in air-conditioned restaurant


Restoran Hot Bowl is in 16-A Lorong Abu Siti, 10400 Penang, Malaysia. Open 8 am to 2.30pm daily except Monday.


The restaurant is famous for its own version of White Curry Mee but also have other items like Pak Cham Kai ( White chicken) and Ipoh Hor Fun. Vinegar Pork Trotter and Fish Curry Head are also available on order in advance.


The White Curry Mee consists of mee and/or mee hoon in chicken stock whitened with creamy coconut milk, served with bean sprouts, dried sotong, prawns, cockles and coagulated duck blood for a price of only three Malaysian Ringgi (RM3.0) .

The taste and degree of spiciness depends on the special spicy chilli paste which the the secret of the restoran. The chilli paste is now available in air-tight jar and you can buy it at RM4.9 per 140gm.

If you are in Penang , it is worthwhile to pay the restoran a visit . You can enjoy your bowl of curry mee at hawker price in a air-conditioned restaurant.

Wat Mahawan in ChiangMai, Thailand
