Decided to eat Nyonya food for dinner, found this restaurant "Restoran Nyonya Breeze" located in 50, Lorong Abu Siti (Abu Siti Lane) 10400, Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia. There are 5 parking lots in-front of the restaurant.
There is a big display describing the history of Admiral Cheng Ho, the Chinese "Princess" in Malacca and the Straits-born Chinese called the "Peranakan". The Peranakan ladies are known as Nyonyas. This restaurant's vision is to preserve the Nyonya's culinary secrets for their customers to appreciate the authentic Nyonya cuisine.
The interior of the restaurant where some Nyonya heritage are on display.
The restaurant is spacious and very cosy for dining. The atmosphere is good and the service staff are very friendly.
Fish Otak - delicious
Beanjou with balachan - very good.. one of the best I have tasted in Penang
Karabu Chicken - disappointed that it is not chilli hot enough, quite bland. Should have ordered Karubu Pineapples
Vegetables in Curry
Overall had a good dinner. We did not make any booking for our dinner. In case you wish to make a booking, the restaurant tel no is 604-2279646. The restaurant closed every Tuesday except public holidays. Opening hours : Lunch : 11.30 am to 2.30 pm and dinner : 6.30 - 10 pm.
