Thai Cuisine in Auto-City (mainland of Penang)

We were in AutoCity for a visit and had lunch in one of the many restaurants in the huge complex.


We chose one of the IndoChine Restaurant & Sensation Chain " Golden Triangle Restaurant


The Golden Triangle Restaurant is located in 1808-1809 Jalan Perusahaan Autocity, North-South Highway, Juru Interchange, 13600 Prai, Penang.


The decor is typically Thai as it serves Thai Cuisine

Tom Yam Soup

The Thai food served is average and nothing to shout about. The Vegetable dish and the Tom Yam Soup are very salty. Apart from the atmosphere and decor, the lunch is quite a disappointment.

Peranakan food in Nyonya Breeze Restaurant

We visited this Peranakan restaurant " Nyonya Breeze" nyonya cuisine. It is located at 50 Lorong Abu Siti, 10400 Georgetown, Penang.


The restaurant closed every Tuesday except Public holidays. It opens for lunch from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm and dinner from 6.30 to 10 pm.


The board tells the story and history of Peranakan, Straits-born Chinese called Nyonyas & Babas.

Penang Hawker Food : Chendol

We had our afternoon dessert in this outlet in the ground floor of Pranglin Mall next to the Komtar building in Penang.

The famous Penang Chendol can be found in Penang Road or in this outlet in the Shopping Mall.



The Penang CHENDOL


This is one of the best dessert we had in Penang during our recent visit to Penang, the Chendol. It is really good and you can have it sitting down in the outlet rather than standing in the Penang Road pushcart.

We had guests from Singapore and visited Perut Rumah for lunch. The Nyonya Cuisine Restaurant is located in No 17 Jalan Kelawei, 10250 Georgetown, Penang , Malaysia.


The restaurant opens for business from 11 am to 10.30 pm and the telephone no is 604-2279917.

The decor is Peranakan. The place is cosy and spacious with bay-window corners where diners can dine in private.

The nyonya cuisine is very good especially the Inche Kebin which is nicely done with the chicken meat very tender. Overall, we had an enjoyable lunch with the right atmosphere and company.
