Penang Hawker Food : Hokkien Mee

The famous Penang Hokkien Mee stall is located in this coffee shop "One Corner Kafe" . It is just behind Giants Supermarket in Burmah Road.

The Supper Hokkien Mee stall opens from 8 am but is usually sold out by 10 to 10.30 am.

Penang Hokkien Mee is known as "Prawn Mee" in KL & Singapore. You have to add the chilli sauce to make the chilli-based soup thick and get the sweet taste of the prawns & pork's bones.

The Penang Hokkien Mee is delicious and nice to eat.

We went to the stall for breakfast and we have to wait for almost an hour for our bowls of the famous Hokkien Mee. The locals usually go to book at 8 am and comes back later for their food. If you are going to the stall, be prepared to wait for at least for half an hour. That is the reason why it is famous, I suppose.
