Two Rafflesia flowers blooming
We were lucky that our tour guide managed to find the Rafflesia which was blooming in the rainforest. We had to trek deep into the rainforest for 5 minutes to see the blooming RAFFLESIA, the world largest flower in Kinabalu Park area, Kampong Poring Ranau. We had to pay RM30 each to go with the guide to see and take some photographs to share with you.
There is a foul smell coming from the flowers but the misty air in the rainforest neutralised it. Overall, it was quite an experience to see the World largest Flower, the Rafflesia.

Exotic trails in Kinabalu Park
We went on the trails and explore the scenic garden and learn about wild orchids of Borneo and admire the various shapes, sizes and colours of Borneo's indigenous species interspersed with the more flamiboyantly coloured hybrid orchids.
