There are 500 species of spices and herbs in the Tropical Spice Garden in Penang. Here are some of the spices shown in the photographs taken above for your viewing. You have to visit the
Garden to spend a few hours going through the three landscaped trails in order to appreciate the so many flora and spice & herbs with names stated in the signages.

The Tropical Spice Garden is located on the shores of Teluk Bahang, offers a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of nearby city life. It occupies 8 acres and has more than 500 living specimens of exotic flora and spices & herbs from all over the tropical world, including those from Indonesia. There are three undulating landscaped trails leading visitors to 11 distinct Gardens featuring special plant collections with educational signage displaying their names and uses.

Famous Penang Biscuit : Tar Sar Pneah ( Green Bean Paste Pastry) of Penang

Apart from getting your famous Tar Sar Pneah from the 150 years old famous Ghee Hiang and Him Heang, you can also get direct from the factory the alternative good Tar Sar Pneah from Kedai Biskut HOE HEONG.

You can locate the factory by travelling along Jalan Air Itam and turn left at the traffic light after the Chung Ling Chinese School. Travel along this road Jalan Thean Teik and turn left before the Shell Service Station. It is located at the row of houses after about 30 metres from the junction.
