We went to this Crab Village Restaurant located at 547 Mukim 18, Tanjung Bungah, 11200 Penang for dinner when a colleague visited Penang recently. It is along Jalan Tanjung Bungah next to Hollywood Restaurant.
The back of the restaurant which is facing the sea. You can enjoy your dinner with the very scenic sight of the beach and the sea. It is extremely cool and nice to be dining in the open in the evening.
The scenery of the beach and sea with all the fishing boats anchored after their daily fishing trips in the sea.
The crabs are baked in the Chinese wok until it is like it has been barbequed. It is a special seafood dish (Wok-baked Crabs) that are only available in Penang. Be prepared to pay RM52 for a kilogram of the wok-baked egg crabs.
Other side dishes : Or Chien
Special salted fish fried rice
We had a good dinner. The wok-baked crab was very fresh and delicious especially the egg of crabs. The fried rice and Or Chien are also very good. Highly recommended.
